2018年9月18日中午（旧金山当地时间9月17日晚），奥迪首款量产纯电动SUV奥迪e-tron正式全球首发，新车共推出3款车型。  
2018年11月16日，奥迪首款纯电动SUV奥迪e-tron在第十六届广州国际汽车展览会亮相，亚洲首发。
奥迪e-tron计划2019年引入中国，2020年实现国产， 到2022年将在中国市场投放10款纯电动车型。
